Mrs. Daryl Corlito

After gaining a B.A. (Hons) from Birmingham University, Daryl entered the UK Civil Service and spent some years working for the Lord Chancellor’s Department in London. She entered the teaching profession in 1996, gaining her PGCE at Homerton College Cambridge. She has taught at primary schools in Cambridge for over 20 years; working with children from Reception to year 6. She has been a Maths Subject Leader at two primary schools and tutored in Mathematics and English up to GCSE level.
She studied Primary Maths teaching at Master’s level, gaining a MaST post-graduate certificate in 2012. She was also trained to mentor teachers with Cambridge University Faculty of Education and has subsequently trained many teachers on PGCE, Graduate Teacher and NQT courses.
She is an Ambassador for NRICH, which is based at Cambridge University School of Mathematics, and has trained teachers in this for Cambridgeshire Maths Hub. She continues to be interested in the teaching and learning of maths and likes to keep up to date with current pedagogy.
She is currently tutoring children of different ages and abilities in Maths and English. She also supports EAL and ‘New to English’ children who are developing their Reading and Writing skills. She lives in Cambridge, which she loves, and enjoys History, Maths and Reading. Her hobbies are: Cycling, Walking and Travelling.
She is very much looking forward to working with children from HK, Macao and China, it promises to be an exciting and unique experience.
