Classic Picture Books Recommendation III for Ages 3-4
6th October 2020
We continue this week with a story by American author Mercer Mayer, one of the stories from the funny and cute Little Critter series “All By Myself”. Does this little thing manage to look after himself in the real life? Perhaps the best love for our children is to learn how to let go.

In All by Myself, Little Critter shows you all the things he can do for himself. He gets up and gets dressed, takes care of his sister and helps mum and dad. This classic and funny book is full of vocabulary that is relatable in children’s every day, such as fur, shoe, truck and bike. Repeating and using vocabulary can help them learn and remember. Don’t underestimate your child’s memory! This funny and adorable story encourages independently finishing tasks, accepting guidance, making mistakes and not giving up! Are you ready to let your child take the first step?

Try to praise and encourage when your child completes a task, even if it isn’t perfect. Allow the child to participate and enjoy a sense of accomplishment. This can greatly improve the children’s self-confidence and encourage them to keep trying.
