//Dr. Winnie Sin Wai PUI first visited Zengcheng Qing Hua Kindergarten and held a teacher training there, boosting confidence and motivation of teachers//

Dr. Winnie Pui led teachers to describe their proudest moment in their teaching experiences using coloured clay and papers. This encouraged teachers to reflect from their past experiences and regain strengths from remembering their students’ growth and development.

Dr. Winnie Pui also shared about “Enquiry Teaching Method” beginning with the quote “Tell me, I forget, show me, I remember, invoice me, I understand.”- Carl Orff. Dr. Winnie Pui gave a lot of tips and shared 6 big steps for the enquiry teaching method. As a classroom activity, teachers were discussing and designing classroom actively. This is followed with Winnie’s analysis and comments patiently.

Dr. Winnie Pui then organise teacher to use drinking straws to self-create all kinds of game, leading into “Play-Based Learning Method”. Dr. Winnie Pui lead teachers to think about: How can one run play-based learning method? What can we learn from playing? What is the role as an educator? How can we create a play environment with quality?

Throughout the teacher training, Dr. Winnie Pui not only introduced and analysed international learning philosophy and methods to teachers. She also emphasised that knowledge transfer is not merely about introducing advanced learning and teaching methods from other countries, but more importantly, is the fundamental change of our values and beliefs. We should therefore constantly seek cutting-edge teaching trends and methods, and strive to benefit the future education by connection, communication and share information.
