‘Dream Beyond’ Scholarship Scheme 2019 List of Winners

Big congratulations to our final winners of ‘Dream Beyond’ Scholarship Scheme 2019!

Research has shown that bilingual and bicultural learning has an important role in shaping children’s cultural empathy and open-mindedness. Therefore, KnewSTEP announced The ‘Dream Beyond’ Scholarship Scheme 2019 to provide accessible and equal educational opportunities to students in the form of cultural exchange and language learning in Cambridge, UK. To allow candidates to be treated with fair opportunities regardless of their educational background, the scholarship scheme invited applicants to submit their application either in the form of a (no longer than) 1-min video or a (no more than) 500-word essay under the topic of ‘How would you use your talents to make a difference in Macao?’

All the received works were carefully examined and evaluated by our selection committee formed by Macao’s local teachers, headmasters and professors. The finalised candidates of the scholarship scheme were then invited to a face-to-face interview earlier in December 2018. Three winners were selected mainly based on their learning attitude and a variety of other criteria such as their organisation skills, attention to details and creativity. All of them were informed this good news via an email sent by our designated team earlier today.
