Did you know…?

Westminster College in Cambridge, found in London in 1844 and formerly the Presbyterian Church of England, is now a theological college and a resource centre for learning for the United Reformed Church. It moved to Cambridge in 1899 following the gift of a prime site of land near the centre of the city by two Scottish sisters, Agnes Smith Lewis and Margaret Dunlop Gibson, both were reputable biblical scholars. While the college is not part of the University of Cambridge, it has joined with six other religious colleges in Cambridge to form the Cambridge Theological Federation, which is affiliated with the University of Cambridge.

Did you know that the awarding ceremony of our annual summer project was held last year at Westminster College? We were honoured to have organised our formal dinner here to farewell our beloved teachers and students. Ever wonder what a typical Formal Dinner at Cambridge is like?

After our summer project graduation ceremony, students will always be proceeding to a 3-course traditional formal dinner served by catering assistant of the venue. In their formal suit and gown, students will sit next to teachers, professors, honourable guests at the place where Cambridge alumni and Nobel Prize winners were once dining at. Apart from learning the unique British social skills, students can also exchange meaning conversations with their person sitting next to them.
